Destination Vancouver Connects with IEEE Leaders at the 2024 IEEE AGM
On March 30, Destination Vancouver’s Morgan Da Rocha (Manager, Meetings & Conventions, Business Development) and Michelle Taylor (Manager, Meetings & Convention Sales for Canada & International) attended the 2024 IEEE* Vancouver Section AGM as the Destination Sponsor. Having also sponsored the 2023 IEEE Vancouver Section AGM, Morgan and Michelle had the opportunity to reconnect and to forge new connections with local experts and leaders.
The 2024 IEEE Vancouver Section AGM invited members and guests to the Element Hotel to network, celebrate their community’s successes, and to hear from keynote speaker K. P. Rao, (Microsoft Sr. Technology Strategist) and sponsors.

Building off Destination Vancouver’s continued support for the IEEE Vancouver Section, Morgan and Michelle presented on-stage about the service offerings available to members in the Section’s community. Through this event, the team also connected with leaders in the IEEE Vancouver Section to discuss conference and convention priorities over the coming year.
Destination Vancouver and our MIND Partnership offer support from the first interaction, including bid management, execution and submission, through to convention services upon confirmation of the event. The MIND Partnership has helped support local experts like the IEEE Vancouver Section community and academics at institutions like the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Simon Fraser University (SFU), empowering them to share their knowledge through conferences.
